If there is one thing you will see immediately in Malta it is the importance of family to the Maltese culture. Children are free and without worry here, something that is undeniably obvious when you encounter them travelling on buses, swimming or fishing with their friends, or just hanging out minus the constant gaze of adults. 

When you take a leisurely stroll by the sea on any evening, you will see the Maltese family at its strongest and closest, walking together, having barbecues (in the summer), and basically taking it easy. 

Malta is also an ideal place for you and your family because it is easy to get around everywhere in a very short time by bus or taxi. There are lots of places for young kids almost everywhere along the sea. There is always a place nearby to rest and grab some tasty gelato.
